Trauma Week Day 5

A man from the Coast Guard auxiliary spoke to us about boating safety. He taught us about the different life jackets from over the years and which one was proven to be safest for people of all ages. He talked about why life jackets are mainly orange, so people can see you when you're in the water. He used a model that he had made to explain to us but each side of the boat was officially named so it would not be easily confused. After that we went outside to see the actual boat that he had brought, while he explained why we needed a registration, a flare gun, an air horn, and two different colored lights at opposite ends of the boat.
