SAAD (9/12/24) and Patient Positions

This week was spent preparing for our patient position project. We were placed in groups of three to four and had to act out a given list of patient positions. From there we had to create a presentation of the information about the positions and the images to go along with them. We also had our first field trip on Thursday at SAAD Hospice facility. When were arrived at the facility we met with Sydnie Holliman, the volunteer coordinater, and she gave us a tour of the Hospice facility, The Retreat. We learned all about the history of the building and what the facility offers to families of hospice patients. On the tour, we were able to look inside a patient room and learned all about the options for patient care and availability for visiting family.
