This week was spent researching and improving our papers before the final draft is due next week. During class, I researched different journal articles and video documentaries that will contribute to my paper as well as improve my knowledge of general surgery. My final draft of my paper is due next Friday before Thanksgiving break. Throughout this week, I have been preparing for my skills lab on Thursday, surgical dexterity.

The skills lab this week focused on surgical dexterity, being able to use both hands in an operation is imperative in surgery. Our task was to take a bell pepper and remove the seeds one by one with our non-dominate hand. There were three rounds, sixty seconds each, and the number of seeds removed in each round were recorded and compared to the other two attempts. My first attempt ended with thirty-one seeds in sixty seconds, however, my second and third attempt were significantly better.
