This weeks class was primarily spent on research and writing our paper and the planning the escape room. When researching material for my paper, I learned about several new forms of technology used in surgery and all the advantages that come with them. Regarding my paper, I am struggling most with formatting. Writing in APA in new to me and I am still trying to grasp the idea of the new format. Moving forward I plan to write at least one page of the paper a day and spend at least an hour research and formatting information.

My job in the planning of the escape room is the connection between classes. Each class is divided into teams, except me, my job is to ensure that each group agrees on a set plan and work together accordingly. Our escape room theme is a C. Diff outbreak at Spring Hill Hospital. The player's mission is to follow Springhill Medical Center's safety guidelines to protect themselves, other patients, and the hospital from further contamination. To escape the room, they must retrieve the necessary information and apply the correct protocols, all while maintaining HIPAA compliance, and within the 30 minute time frame.
